FAQ

How does the customs clearance procedure work?

Firstly, provide us with all appropriate documentation including a bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing declaration and letter of authority (templates can be found under ‘resources’).

p>Second, our Customs Brokers will evaluate your specific circumstance in accordance with the Australian Customs Tariff and inform you of the best possible method to proceed with customs clearance.

Third, we will create a customs entry and lodge your cargo with Customs and AQIS (Australian Quarantine Inspection Service).

Finally, our Customs Brokers will notify you of the result of the clearance (i.e. whether AQIS want to check your goods) and send an invoice with a copy of your customs entry, the receipt from Customs for all Duty/GST we have paid on your behalf.
